Dyeing Class Friday, April 27, 1PM

This class is only $22 and includes your sock yarn, which will make one pair of socks, and all the supplies needed to Kool-Aid dye bright, fun yarn!  Reserve your spot early by calling or emailing.

We're going to miss you Shirley!

Our long-time Yarn Studio friend Shirley (center-in front row), is moving to Las Vegas this week.  (Will she become a show-girl? hmmmmm..........)  We do hope she finds a knit store!!  Best of luck to you Shirley, you will be sorely missed around here. 

Ukranian Egg Class this Tuesday 1PM!!

There's still two spots open to try this craft.  Nancy has blown out the eggs for us, will provide us all the materials, and teach us how to do this!  She is only charging $15, all inclusive, and I'm sure we'll make some amazing eggs!  Call to reserve your place if you haven't put you name on the sign-up sheet.

Ready to Kool-Aid Dye????

Here's my 1st attempt at dying sock yarn with Kool-Aid and it was fun.  I used red with a soft orange background that this picture doesn't do justice.  It is WILD!  But I like my socks like that......
I'm going to schedule this class very soon, so let me know if you have a day/time preference.  There will be lots of different colors and all supplies including the yarn, will be in the class fee of $22.  Additional skeins will be available for purchase if you want to do several. 

Tami & Val have their heads together as Tami teaches the Crochet Baby Blanket class.  This is a beautiful baby blanket that will teach you 5 new stitches.  There's still room in the class so jump in! tho you must have basic crochet skills already.  Friday afternoons or Saturday morning classes are available.

Beautiful new yarn came in today!  Harrisville Designs Silk/Wool Blend.  Skeins are 175 yards, 50% silk and 50% fine wool.  Recommended needle size 3-5, gauge 5-51/2 st per inch.  Gorgeous springs colors.  The pattern in the background is what I plan to do with it!

Reminder that the book club will meet next Thursday to discuss The Poisonwood Bible. 

Also we're meeting at the Glass Sword to see HUNGER GAMES (YAY!) this Thurday at 6:30pm.  All are invited!

1st Blog Experience!

Hello to all my customers and friends of Yarn Studio!

I will be posting class schedules, new yarns and accessories, and anything happening of interest at the store!  For some strange reason I am very uncomfortable with social media sites, and this seems like a much a safer place :)  A quiet, cozy corner - much like my new location! 

This blog will also take the place of most Yarn Studio emails so check back often for updates on classes.
